Mary Deal is a native of Walnut Grove, California in the Sacramento River Delta, has lived in England, the Caribbean, and now resides in Kapaa, Hawaii. River Bones is the first of three thrillers, and takes place in her childhood hometown area of the River Delta. Mary writes in several genres. Her first novel published was The Tropics: Child of a Storm - Caught in a Rip - Hurricane Secret, an adventure trilogy fictionalized from some of her near-death escapades at sea. Her second novel, The Ka, is an Egyptian fantasy. With a non-related second mystery already written, her third thriller will be a sequel to River Bones.

About my collections

River Bones, a thriller and my third novel takes place in my childhood hometown area of the Sacramento River Delta. A resident of the Delta asked, "Why did you put a psychopath in our midst?" I replied, "Not to worry. He stays in the book!"
